TouchPoint Baltimore - Skills for Success

TouchPoint Baltimore has partnered with Harlem Lacrosse - Baltimore to mentor the James McHenry Middle School Boys and ACCE High School Girls through their Skills for Success program, which consists of monthly dinners where Harlem Lacrosse student-athletes share food, stories, and reflections with some of Baltimore’s most influential and accomplished business-men and -women--Founders, CEOs, Presidents, and Executives from companies like Whiting-Turner, BGE, Mahogany, Center for Urban Families, and University of Maryland - Baltimore. Harlem Lacrosse student-athletes and TouchPoint mentors discuss and reflect over the importance of school, the challenges and rewards of maturing, how to make tough decisions for one’s own well-being, and the empowerment that comes with envisioning of one’s future. The conversations are authentic and inspiring, and the effect on the students has been positive and motivating already, after just a few meetings.
