Harlem Lacrosse 2025 Annual Benefit Honoree

Joel Censer

Helping Harlem Lacrosse students turn dreams into plans, Joel Censer supports their journey every step of the way.

Since joining Harlem Lacrosse in 2013, Joel has held several roles spanning the critical functions of the organization, from Program Director at Frederick Douglass Academy to fundraising and programming. He now serves as Chief Pathing Officer, which is a role that was created to reflect his vision and expertise in helping students navigate post-secondary options with agency and purpose.

As our Chief Pathing Officer, Joel has helped redefine what’s possible for hundreds of Harlem Lacrosse graduates. He’s not just talking about access. He’s building it—one decision, one path, one student at a time.

With deep pride and gratitude, we will honor Joel at the 2025 Harlem Lacrosse Benefit Gala on October 22, 2025. We invite YOU to celebrate Joel’s impact with a gift to Harlem Lacrosse.

Supporting Harlem Lacrosse means fueling the long-term success of our students—and the program leaders who stand beside them. Our full-time, school-based staff are coaches, mentors, and advocates who deliver year-round academic, athletic, and enrichment programming, while helping students set—and reach—their goals.

In a new episode of Mondays with Mike, CEO Mike Levin sits down with Joel to talk about the why behind the work—and how that work is showing up in the lives of our students:

100 Harlem Lacrosse seniors are graduating this year.
99% of their financial need is covered.

All of them are choosing paths that reflect their goals.
This isn’t luck.
It’s preparation, partnership, and belief—years in the making.

Thank you for joining us in honoring Joel!

With your support, we can continue to expand the impact of Joel’s work — and help even more young people take ownership of what comes next.
