Three Cities, One Community: Harlem Lacrosse Unites at Penn Play Day
Harlem Lacrosse students from Baltimore, New York, and Philadelphia came together at the University of Pennsylvania for our annual Penn Play Day — a celebration of teamwork, friendship, and competition that continues to grow each year.
Hosted in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania Men’s & Women’s Lacrosse Teams, Penn Play Day has become a beloved Harlem Lacrosse tradition. Taking place on Election Day, the event offered students from three regions the chance to unite for a day of spirited play and shared purpose. Across Penn Park and Franklin Field, middle and high school teams competed in lively matchups — playing hard, cheering loudly, and building connections that extend far beyond the field.
Beyond the goals and ground balls, Penn Play Day represents the best of the Harlem Lacrosse community: students and coaches from different cities coming together to learn, compete, and have fun. It’s a reminder that when our regions unite, we don’t just play the game — we strengthen the relationships and sense of belonging that make our mission so powerful.
We’re deeply grateful to our incredible staff, partners, and supporters who make days like this possible. Their dedication and teamwork ensure that every Harlem Lacrosse student has the chance to grow through sport, find community through mentorship, and celebrate success together.
Three cities. One community. One unforgettable day.
