Fall Momentum: Competition, Connection, Community

This fall was a standout season across Harlem Lacrosse, filled with competition, connection, and major growth—both on the field and off. From New York City to Philadelphia to Connecticut, our high school participants represented Harlem Lacrosse with energy, discipline, and pride.

PLL Championship Weekend in NYC

We kicked off September at the Speed Lacrosse event at the Oculus as part of the PLL Championship celebrations. Our athletes took in the electric atmosphere, competed, and met pro players up close. Supporting our hometown team, the New York Atlas, as they claimed the championship only added to the excitement.

ULAX Fall League

Across our boys and girls programs, ULAX was a major highlight of the season.

• Both Harlem high school boys teams battled through the NYC league and ultimately faced each other in the championship—a testament to the hard work across the entire program.

• The FDA High School Girls powered their way to the ULAX championship game as well, relying on gritty underclassmen who rose to the challenge to support our veteran leaders. Week after week, their growth and toughness were impossible to miss.

UPenn Play Day in Philadelphia

Our full New York Region traveled to Philadelphia to join our HL Baltimore and Philadelphia programs for the UPenn Play Day. It was a full day of competition, connection, and community-building. Our club players shined, showing their confidence and continued development against strong competition.

College Trip to Connecticut

Both high school programs headed to Connecticut College, where we toured campus, scrimmaged our Boston region, and enjoyed time together playing yard games. It was a great opportunity for players to see a college environment firsthand and strengthen HL connections across regions.

Farmingdale College Fall Classic

To close out the fall, our high school teams combined forces at the Farmingdale Fall Classic. Playing as one unified Harlem Lacrosse squad, our athletes showcased resilience, teamwork, and adaptability—representing Harlem Lacrosse with pride.

Team Culture & One Harlem Practices

Beyond competition, the FDA High School Girls built a stronger team culture all season long. We carved pumpkins, worked together on 500-piece puzzles during team-bonding sessions, and took real leadership steps with our new One Harlem Practices, where our high school players coached and led drills for our middle schoolers. This initiative is already making the younger athletes’ transition to high school smoother and building a more unified Harlem Lacrosse community from the ground up.

We’re proud of everything our Harlem Lacrosse athletes accomplished this fall—and we’re even more excited for what’s ahead as we move into the winter session.
