Connecticut College Combine - Building Collegiate Student-Athletes

Harlem Lacrosse high school boys from New York and Boston had the opportunity to spend three days in New London with the Connecticut College Men’s Lacrosse Program. The objective of this trip was to give the HS boys the opportunity to learn from the Conn College program and to put into practice the habits of a collegiate student athlete. Thanks to the generosity of Head Coach Jim Nagle, his players, and the College, HL boys experienced the life of a college lacrosse player in all aspects.
The weekend included a blend of campus living, classroom experience, admissions counseling, and college style lacrosse practices. Highlights included multiple fast paced practices led by Coach Nagle, two scrimmages against South Shore Sharks of Connecticut (resulting in two wins for HL!), and an informative classroom session led by Syracuse lacrosse legend and Babson College professor, Fred Opie. It was a jam packed three days and the boys left New London exhausted. Each HL attendee left knowing they had built a greater understanding of the habits that make college student-athletes successful .
