Anderson Girls/Finletter Boys | Episcopal Academy (PA)

The Anderson Girls and the Finletter Boys are benefiting from a deep partnership with Episcopal Academy, an Independent School in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. The relationship between the Anderson girls and Episcopal began last year when members of the Varsity team helped in after school practices throughout the fall and winter. Coach Josie Ferri Tomaino was also kind enough to invite The Anderson girls to participate in four clinics this Fall and joined the team for another practice during their Spring Break.

With the support of Head Coach and Philadelphia Advisory Board member, Chris Bates, the Episcopal Boys have been very involved during the first year of boys programming. They have supported activities in practice and hosted the boys team for a basketball game and pizza party.

The partnership however has extended past the field with members of the Episcopal Academy community organizing our very first Science Saturday for the Anderson girls! Community Coordinator Becky Brinks created a unique experience for the girls who were allowed to use two different science labs to create bath balms and slime, study DNA and examine items under a high powered microscope!  This partnership has been a huge component of the success of both programs and we are looking forward to what programming is coming in the future!
