Philly Indoor Training: Winter 2023

To combat winter temperatures and limited daylight, HL-Philly goes indoor to train and develop our skills! For the second year in a row, our middle school boys have had the opportunity to continue their training indoors at Steelyard Sports. Program Directors wasted no time in the new year and held their first indoor practice on January 3rd. Everyone was excited to be back playing lacrosse after a 2-week winter break, and took full advantage of the opportunity. The guys will be back at Steelyard over the next month.

The HL-Philly middle school girls club group traveled to YSC in King of Prussia to play in the Sunday 7v7 League. YSC hosts an 8-week 7v7 league every Sunday consisting of local clubs and teams throughout the area. In their first year, the HL-Philly team accepted the challenging new experience head on and have been getting better each week. HL-Philly girls have also continued indoor training at Commit To Improve. Players have attended clinics and the teams have collectively taken over the entire training facility to continue growing during these cold months.

Training during the winter requires focus, commitment, and grit from our players. It also requires strong partnerships and support from so many, so thank you to our partners who are all a part of making these opportunities possible for Harlem Lacrosse - Philly!
