Young Achievers Visits Tufts

On March 23rd, the Young Achievers boys program travelled to Tufts University to visit the undefeated men’s lacrosse team. On a cold day, Coach D’Annolfo and the Jumbos ran a high-energy and informative clinic in Cousens Gym. The team split into offense and defense to get quality, individual instruction. The offense worked on ground balls and shooting while the defense practiced good positioning and poke checks. The groups then came together for a 2 on 1 drill to practice what we learned. At the end of the practice, Vijay was awarded the “hard hat” award for "bringing the juice."

After practice, we moved to the film room where a full dinner spread was waiting for us. HLers got a glimpse of what it is like to watch film while enjoying a great meal and bonding with the Jumbo players. We would like to thank Coach D’Annolfo for hosting us in the midst of their busy season, and all of the student athletes for sharing their time, energy, and knowledge to us. Go Jumbos!
