#HLinBoston: PS 149 and FDA Girls Visit Concord, MA

Back in October, the PS 149 and FDA girls traveled to Concord, MA for Harlem Lacrosse's annual Massachusetts home-stay weekend! Families from Concord-Charlisle youth lacrosse hosted 30 girls for a weekend of lacrosse, friendship, educational activities, and LOTS of dancing!

On Saturday, the Tufts Women's Lacrosse team generously spent their Saturday morning hosting practice for HLers. Afterwards, the girls headed to Concord's historical monuments to learn about the history of Concord during the Revolutionary War. The girls visited the Old North Bridge in Concord to learn about the "shot heard 'round the world," and even met one of the militia men from the Battle of Concord. On Sunday, the girls participated in the Harlem Lacrosse Invitational Chumash tournament with other girls from TechBoston, PS 76, and Concord-Carlisle, Licoln-Sudbury and Hingham Youth Lacrosse!

Thank you to both the Tufts and Boston College Women's Lacrosse teams for coming out and being such enthusiastic supporters and role models to our students throughout the weekend. A huge thanks to all of the home-stay families in Concord, especially Executive Board member Maureen Dibble, for organizing the weekend. We couldn't ask for a better partnership with the Concord-Carlisle Community and are excited to return!
