Philly Gets Stronger With Core Love Culture Pilates

I like Pilates. It was a really different workout and it made me look at my body in a different way. After the first class, I started to understand more.

Nicole Smith, owner of Pilates studio Core Love Culture, truly does it all for the city she calls home. Nicole is an artist, performer, athlete, trainer, teacher, and passionate community advocate. Harlem Lacrosse - Philadelphia is lucky to call her a partner. Nicole believes in the power of community, welcoming the entire HL-Philly community into the Core Love Culture studio.

Middle school and high school athletes and staff have all had the opportunity to learn about the traditional Pilates style that Nicole and her staff teach over the course of this school year. During a session over spring break, one high school athlete exclaimed “This is making me question my identity as an athlete!” in the middle of the session because the moves were so challenging. That specific athlete, along with everyone who has had the opportunity to learn from Nicole has persevered through challenging sessions and left the studio feeling stronger, empowered, and more aligned in their bodies.

Community partnerships are critical to our efforts of creating access to new & valuable opportunities. We are lucky to have the chance to partner with Nicole to become a stronger community this year and into the future!

I really liked Pilates. It was a really good time being in a workout studio, and it was different. I have never done Pilates before, and I hope we can do it again with Nicole.
