CJR Boys Partner with Travis Manion Foundation

This past winter season the Commodore John Rodgers boys lacrosse team partnered with the Travis Manion Foundation for an eight week mentoring program. The mentoring program focused on the teamwork, communication, role identity, and the importance of leadership.

The boys were challenged mentally and physically every Tuesday & Thursday when meeting with the Travis Manion staff. The entire staff are military veterans, and they shared with the CJR boys on the value of being part of a team, discipline, and some insight on how military life and responsibility really is.

The CJR boys lacrosse team now uses the “If Not Me Then Who” phrase that they learned in the program, as an inspiring quote for this spring season.
