Deerfield Welcomes HL-Boston

Over April break, students from HL-Boston visited Deerfield Academy to learn about academics and athletics at the high school level.

The day began with a sit-down lunch in the Dining Hall where HL-students enjoyed a hearty meal that fueled them for the rest of the afternoon's activities. Students were then met by their Deerfield tour guides who led them around campus for a full tour, which included dorms, classrooms, the art gallery, and the theater.

After the tour, students were given the opportunity to attend a Q&A session with four Deerfield student panelists. HLers remained inquisitive and focused for the hour discussion and gained valuable insight into the world of a Deerfield student-athlete .

The day ended with a special invitation to participate in Deerfield's boys and girls lacrosse practices. HLers felt empowered running drills right alongside the Big Green, finishing off the day on a high note.

We want to extend a massive thank you to Girls Head Coach Allison DiNardo for flawlessly planning and executing such an important experience for our student-athletes, Boys Head Coach Chip Davis for welcoming the HL boys to his practice, Athletic Director Bob Howe, and the entire Deerfield community for making HL-Boston's first trip to Deerfield a great success!
