A Week with Jordan MacIntosh and Hudl

Last week, Harlem Lacrosse - Boston had the privilege of working with Jordan MacIntosh during practice and visiting his workplace, the sports tech company Hudl, for a career day. Jordan is a professional lacrosse player in the NLL, MLL, and a member of Team Canada. On Tuesday, the Young Achievers boys program welcomed him to Mattapan, where he taught the boys shooting technique and ran fast-paced instructional drills. The following day, Jordan travelled to Dorchester to help run the girls practice at TechBoston.

On Friday, HLers traveled to the Hudl offices in downtown Boston to learn about the different careers at Hudl, and experience a day in the life of a Hudl team member. Hudl is a software company that helps coaches and athletes watch and analyze film to improve their performance. In addition, users can create quality highlight films for recruiting or entertainment purposes. While helping the student athletes improve on the lacrosse field, Jordan was also filming the practices. He and the Hudl team created a highlight film from each practice and showed the boys and girls on our visit to the Hudl office.

We would like to send a huge thank you to Jordan MacIntosh for giving his time, energy, and resources to help HLers improve their skills, enjoy highlights of themselves, and explore careers. We would also like to thank the Hudl team for welcoming us for the day and sharing your knowledge and experiences with us.
