Groton Welcomes Harlem Lacrosse for Visit

On Friday, October 14th two student-athletes from Young Achievers had the opportunity to visit Groton School along with five student-athletes from Harlem Lacrosse-New York. The kids took a campus tour before getting the chance to tag along to a day of classes with host students from Groton. Following lunch in the Groton dining hall, all the student-athletes went to Coach Funnell’s house to play a spirited game of pick-up lacrosse in the backyard before walking back to campus to watch the Groton football and soccer teams take on one of their rivals, Middlesex School. All the young men who had the opportunity to visit Groton came away motivated to continue improving both on the lacrosse field as well as in the classroom. We would like to thank Cort Pomeroy from Groton School as well as Langley Steinert for making our visit possible.
