P.S. 76 Visits West Point with Haldane Lacrosse

On Saturday March 14th, 2015, the P.S. 76 Tigers braved the cold temperatures and windy conditions to take a trip up north to West Point, NY to visit the campus of the United States Military Academy.  Upon arrival, Peter Ruggiero, Haldane Lacrosse, and a handful of volunteers from various college lacrosse programs warmly greeted the team off the bus.  The first event of the day was an Army Lacrosse Chalk Talk hosted by two current Army Lacrosse Players.  The players talked in depth about their matchup with the Loyola Greyhounds that day and then fielded questions about their life as cadets and student-athletes.

Afterwards, Peter and the Haldane Lacrosse Program generously presented the Tigers with Army Lacrosse gift bags as well as ’76-Haldane’ decals that both teams will wear throughout their respective seasons. The team was then treated to a tailgate before entering Michie Stadium and enjoying their first collegiate lacrosse game; a great back-and-forth game between the Army Black Knights and the Loyola Greyhounds. The Black Knights, who treated the Tigers to a clinic this past November, unfortunately lost a close battle 12-10 in a hard fought game.

A huge thanks to Peter Ruggiero and Haldane Lacrosse for hosting the event!  The Tigers cannot wait to return!
