One Nation Weekend: Promise Academy II Visits Andover

On Friday, November 13, 21 scholars from Promise Academy 2 jumped on a bus to Andover, Massachusetts for a weekend of sharing experiences and playing lacrosse. The team arrived in Andover with late night pizza waiting for them and were able to connect with their host families.

On Saturday, everyone met at Andover’s brand new Youth Center for group-building activities and lunch. Afterwards, Harlem Lacrosse and Andover players participated in a lacrosse clinic and epic “Mat Ball” game hosted by the Andover high school lacrosse team. From there, the group went to Laser Quest for fun and games and spent the night with their respective host families. On Sunday, the PA2 student-athletes had the thrill-of-a-lifetime as they competed with and against one another in the One Nation tournament.

Huge thanks to Bill Fahey and Tony Lombardi of Andover youth services, all the host families, Andover’s high school lacrosse coaches and players, and everyone involved for being such welcoming hosts and creating such a special weekend for our student-athletes!
