ABOUT HARLEM LACROSSE
Harlem Lacrosse is a school-based youth organization whose mission is to provide opportunities, relationships, and experiences that activate the skills and traits to put youth on a path to success as students, athletes, and citizens.
Harlem Lacrosse empowers students to become lifelong learners and achieve the goals they set for themselves by using the sport of lacrosse as the platform to engage students in year-round athletic competition, enrichment opportunities, and academic support.
COACH KELSIE’S STORY
I have spent the past 7 years of my life working at Harlem Lacrosse. In August 2022, I moved across the country to help Harlem Lacrosse Los Angeles build the High School Girls’ Program at Compton High School. During this time, I’ve met hundreds of kids and families across the country who continuously inspire and motivate me to use the power of Harlem Lacrosse to reimagine what educational and sport experiences can be for our students. No matter a child’s family income, zip code, the color of their skin, how they identify or what language they use at home, they are all deserving of pathways to success.
I have chosen to run the OC Half Marathon on Sunday, May 5th to represent, support, and fundraise for Harlem Lacrosse - Los Angeles. My OC Half Marathon Fundraiser will contribute to help create Harlem Lacrosse’s year-round programming available to over 160 student-athletes in the Compton area of Los Angeles County.
As I train to run on behalf of Harlem Lacrosse, I am inviting you to join me in making The Harlem Promise. I promise to support Harlem Lacrosse's commitment to work alongside youth and families from the time they join this program in middle school to build pathways to college and career success.
Harlem Lacrosse is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are deductible per IRS regulations.
Thank You for Your Support
