Harlem Lacrosse is excited to announce the addition of Romina Bongiovanni to our Executive Board! 

As New Balance’s Global Director of Communications, Romina leads public relations, social media and entertainment strategies that drive brand share of voice and consideration via earned and owned vehicles. The collective work of her regional and local teams furthers the New Balance’s “Fearlessly Independent” brand ethos and grounds it on stories of innovation, style and purpose. 

In her prior role as Group Director at Saatchi & Saatchi, Romina oversaw earned and social media communications for Toyota, including the public relations for the brand’s global Olympics & Paralympics campaign, “Start Your Impossible,” and the U.S. programs for “Let’s Go Places.” 

Prior, Romina co-led the creation of Edelman’s multicultural division as Senior Vice President of the global firm, where she served clients such as: Microsoft, Xbox, Starbucks, Levi’s, Nestle, American Heart Association “Go Red for Women,” and The Latin Recording Academy

A mentor of the Center for Sports, Peace and Society’s “Global Sports Mentoring Program” and former President of the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA), Romina is committed to using her expertise and sports to empower underserved communities. An awarded industry veteran, Romina earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration in Argentina and a marketing diploma from UCLA.
