Lacrosse was a sport created by Native American tribes as early as 1100 AD, and while this is one of the most popular sports today, minorities and low-income populations rarely have access to the equipment and training required to play the sport. The Harlem Lacrosse Program not only aims to teach teens how to play and get college scholarships but is actively working to change the face of lacrosse world-wide.
